Commissioner Secretary I&C reviews progress of JTFRP

Srinagar Nov 10 (KINS): Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce M K Dwivedi visited Government Woollen Mills Bemina and Government Silk Weaving Factory Rajbagh to review the ongoing works being undertaken under the World Bank funded Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project at the two units.
Managing Director JKI informed that the works at Silk factory Rajbagh which include construction of building and procurement of new machinery to replace the outdated ones are being undertaken at a total cost of Rs 23.53Crores under the said project. Similarly works being undertaken at Woollen Mills Bemina include construction of a new showroom and procurement of new machinery at a total project cost of Rs11.73 crores.
While reviewing the progress Commissioner Secretary was informed that the building works at Rajbagh including the procurement of the new machinery is expected to the completed by March 2021.
Commissioner Secretary while appreciating the progress made on the works directed that all efforts should be made to ensure the project completion within the scheduled timelines. (KINS)
