Director H&H reviews functioning of craft clusters launched under JTFRP


SRINAGAR, JANUARY 23: Director Handicrafts & Handlooms, Mehmood Ahmad Shah, today convened a review meeting of functioning of four craft clusters undertaken under World Bank sponsored Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP).
He visited the Handicraft clusters of Crewel-Chain Stitch and Paper Mache functioning at Noorbagh and Zadibal respectively to have first hand information regarding functioning of these two vital business units.
Director was informed that both the clusters have registered a Producer Company with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India so as to ensure the ownership to each artisan associated with the craft in the clusters besides ensuring long lasting sustenance of the project.
During the visit, he interacted with the artisans linked with the clusters and had their feedback and suggestions.
