GDC Beerwah organises webinar on employment avenues in J&K


Srinagar, Feb 09 (KINS): The Government Degree College (GDC) Beerwah in collaboration with District Employment and Counselling Center (DE&CC) Budgam conducted webinar, titled ‘Navigating Employment Scenario and Opportunities in J&K’ and ‘Role and Functions of (DDUGKY) Deen Dayal Upadhya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana,’ here.
The webinar was organised with an aim to access the efficient avenues about employment in the UT of J&K on Monday.
On the occasion, Communication Officer (JKEDI) Arief Ahmad Khan, and District Coordinator, Skill Development Budgam also CCO, DE&CC, Syed Ashfaq Ahmad were the invited speakers.
The Guest Speakers delivered a detailed deliberation on the topic and put the epitome on the prevailing employment, unemployment and employability position in Jammu and Kashmir. They also raised awareness among participants about how to proceed in the state with one’s own individual venture in different sectors to exploit the employability gains in a systematic way.
Principal GDC Beerwah, Prof. Neelam Jan Shah, and the Convener, Career Counseling and Placement Cell of GDC Beerwah, Dr Nazir-Ul Amin Gash extended positive remarks to the Guest Speakers for making the event successful.
In the concluding note, it was impressed by the student community that such types of programs should be organized for the benefit of the students, in future who desire to seek employability (Employment Opportunities) in the state of J&K and outside the state.(KINS)
