ADDC Kupwara inaugurates blood donation camp

KUPWARA, JULY 6(KINS): Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara today inaugurated a blood donation camp which was organized by J&K Yateem Foundation Kupwara unit in collaboration with Health department Kupwara.

On the occasion, 33 units (points) of blood were donated by volunteers.

Speaking at the occasion, the ADDC congratulated the camp organizers for conducting blood donation camp. He also appreciated the volunteers who donated their blood.

ADDC said that youth of Kupwara has always set an example by participating in such humanitarian and welfare programmes.

Incharge blood donation camp informed that the J&K Yateem Foundation started its function in Kupwara district from the year 2002 and is helping the orphans,  poor and needy families under various programmes.

Meanwhile, the ADDC Kupwara paid a surprise visit to Sub District Hospital Kupwara and inspected various sections of the hospital including OPD, IPD and other sections.

During the inspection, he interacted with patients and enquired about the facilities being provided by the Hospital administration. He also interacted with doctors and directed them to perform their duty as per the roster. (KINS)
