SDM Gool reviews functioning of departments, progress on vaccination

GOOL, JULY 12(KINS): Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Gool,  Giasul Haq  today reviewed the functioning of  various departments, especially  status of facilities available in  Covid Care Centres and progress on Covid vaccination made by the Health Department, here  at a meeting.

Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

The SDM also took stock of implementation of other beneficiary oriented schemes being implemented by the Revenue, Health, RDD, Jal Shakri and various other departments in the Sub –division.

Tehsildar Gool,  Nisaq-Ul-Farooq, BMO,  Dr. Bashir Ahmed, BDO Gool, Dr. Karanjeet Singh, BDO, Gundi Dharam, Supinder Kour,  AEE Jal Shakri and Sarpanches  attended  the meeting.

The SDM took a firsthand appraisal about the constitution of Youth Clubs, status of drinking water supply, power supply and progress on other developmental projects being executed by the different Executing Departments.

While reviewing the status of achievement against the target of COVID-19 vaccination of 18-45   and above 45 age group, the SDM  urged  the PRIs to cooperate and coordinate with the health teams for ensuring 100% vaccination of all targeted people in the Sub-division.   He also directed the Tehsildar and BMO to ensure availability of all health and other facilities in each and every Covid Care Centre established at Panchayat level to facilitate the people if they required.

The SDM directed AEE Jal Shakti to properly regulate their field staff besides supervising their works to ensure adequate drinking water supplies in all areas.

SDM also briefed the PRIs about the importance of   Youth Clubs being constituted in all Panchayats of the Sub-division to channelize the energy of youth for their personality development as well as progress of society.

The SDM also passed on spot directions to concerned departments to resolve all genuine issues highlighted by the Sarpanches and other PRIs during the meeting. (KINS)
