DC Srinagar inspects restoration work on road along Boulevard at Dalgate

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Friday visited Dalgate to inspect the restoration work being carried out on a patch of road at Badyari Chowk along Boulevard on Dal Lake.

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

The DC directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of restoration work by employing additional men and machinery.

He set an August 25 deadline for completion of the work to ensure smooth and safe traffic movement on the road.

Pertinent to mention that the road stretch at Badyari Chowk Dalgate along Boulevard on Dal Lake had collapsed in the month of February due to which traffic movement in the area got affected.

Superintendent Engineer R&B, Nayeem Khan and other concerned were present on the occasion.
