Div com inaugurates paid car parking at Boulvard Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 16 (KINS): The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir inaugurated paid car parking belonging to Evacuee Property Kashmir here on Saturday.

According to the press release issued to news agency KINS, the paid car parking was inaugurated by Pandurang Kondbarao Pole Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in presence of Tariq Hussain Naik Custodian Evacuee Property Kashmir and other Officers of the Department besides the representatives of various stakeholders. 

“Ab. Qayoom Qadri Dy. Custodian HQ Kashmir welcomed the Chief guests and other dignitaries. It was a long pending demand of various tourism stakeholders to make the piece of land owned by the department available for car parking,” the press release reads.

“The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir congratulated the department for making the efforts for creating a facility so that the visitors shall benefit from the facility and traffic flow on the busiest road of Srinagar gets eased out.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed the department to work tirelessly and give vide publicity of parking so that the maximum people shall keep their vehicle parked instead of parking vehicle on road side to avoid traffic congestion”

“The Custodian Evacuee Property Kashmir assured the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir that the department put their best efforts for utilization of parking on merits. The dignitaries requested cooperation from the General public and visitors to get the benefit of parking and help administration to make Srinagar free from traffic congestion. The creation of a parking facility shall help visitors to visualize the mesmerizing beauty of world famous Dal Lake. The creation of a parking facility shall significantly prove beneficial for the public as well as the department in future,” it said. (KINS)
