Police organizes cultural programme

Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

Srinagar Mar 20 (KINS): District Police Srinagar (South Zone) organized a “Cultural Programme” under Civic Action Programme 2022-23 on Monday at Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh, Srinagar in which a large number of students of different Schools and youth of District Srinagar participated.

The cultural programme was inaugurated by SP City South Srinagar (Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS), SP Hqrs. Srinagar ( Arif Amin Shah-JKPS), SDPO Sadder & SHO Police Station Rajbagh. Besides, Principal IHM Rajbagh Srinagar, Zonal Education officer Srinagar, Principal Govt. Girls HSS Rajbagh other social activists were present on the occasion.

During the Cultural programme, a Solo singing competition was held comprising of Bollywood /Kashmiri songs & music. The aim of the programme was to provide platform to aspiring contestants to show their talent and provide them opportunity to demonstrate their abilities so that they can be projected at Regional and National levels. During the event, tea and lunch as refreshment was served to all the participants, performers, guests and other staff.

At the conclusion of the event, SP Hqrs. Srinagar while speaking on the occasion praised the contestants for their exemplary skills and talent. He said that Srinagar Police is committed to provide platform to talented people especially youth in various fields. He also said that the sole objective of these programmes is to provide a platform to those children who are otherwise unable to explore opportunity to show their talent before the world. The first three position holders were awarded with cash prizes by SP Hqrs. Srinagar and 1st position bagged by Ubaid Ahmad of Rs.10,000/-, 2nd position bagged by Mir Ashraf of Rs. 6,000/- & 3rd position by Saqib Ali of Rs. 4,000/-. Moreover, the participation certificates were also distributed among all the participants. (KINS)
